Dynamic or Spatial Links
A dynamic link is based on the spatial relationship between a site and an outline.
Say, for example, that we have a tenement that is defined in terms of three polygons, marked A, B and C in the diagram below:
The points marked Pt1 and Pt2 clearly fall within the tenement outline; however, the point marked Pt3 does not fall within the tenement, because polygon C is excluded from the area of the tenement.
Static Links
A drillhole can also be included in a collection by way of a static link. This is done by explicitly linking the drillhole to the collection. This type of collection is also known as a static site list.
| A static site list must be compiled manually, while dynamic site links are managed by the system. The two methods are mutually exclusive; i.e. a collection must be classified as either static or dynamic. |
