The Licensing and Preferences module is used to manage personal preference settings and to view licensing information.
Licensing
The expiry date of your licence is displayed on this page.
The Licence Expiry Warning is only applicable to long-term licences. When this option is enabled, OCRIS will display a warning message in the bottom right corner of the main window if your licence is about to expire within the specified number of days.
The associated product key associated with your licence is also displayed. Click the Details button to view information regarding the configuration of your subscription.
Preferences
Application-level settings are usually stored in the database; however, where applicable, personal preferences are stored in the user's profile on the client machine.
Data Grids
These settings apply to the grids that are used to view rows of data retrieved from the database. The captions are self-explanatory.
Configuration Database
Window size and location data
These settings enable the application to "remember" the previous location, size and layout of user interface forms on the display. When a form is opened, OCRIS will use these settings to restore the window to its most recent size and position.
Sometimes it becomes necessary to reset the window size and location data to their default state, e.g. when a new display with a different resolution is being used.
Column display properties
These settings enable the application to "remember" the widths and other properties of columns in data grids. When a form is opened, OCRIS will attempt to restore the column settings to their most recently used state.
Use thisoption to reset the column properties to their initial default values.
| Resetting the column display options will cause all personalised settings to be lost |
Location of the application settings database
The OCRIS Database Toolbox application settings are stored in a database file (named ExpDbToolsConfig.db) that can be found in the following location on the client machine:
%APPDATA%\Expedio
Deleting this file will not affect the OCRIS installation as such; however, all personalised application settings (including the database connections list) will be lost as a result; therefore this action is not recommended unless called for by exceptional circumstances.
