Quality Control (QC) is a process whereby a combination of control samples and statistical analysis is used to assess the accuracy and reliability of assay results received from the laboratory.
Paired samples (commonly referred to as duplicates) are used to compare the results of multiple readings done on the same sample, e.g. splits taken from the original pulp. Comparison of these results provide a measure of precision.
OCRIS provides several charts for this type of assessment, known collectively as paired sample charts. See xxx for a more detailed discussion of these charts.
